What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device when you visit. They are widely used to make sites work, remember your choices, and help website owners understand how people use their pages.
A cookie on its own cannot identify you personally. It stores a small piece of information that is sent back to us or a third party each time you visit a page that uses that cookie.
Similar technologies — such as local storage in your browser — work in a comparable way and are covered by this policy too.
Cookies We Use
We use four categories of cookies. Essential cookies are always active because the site cannot function without them. The remaining categories are optional — you control them below.
Third-Party Cookies
Some cookies on our site are set by third-party services we use. These include:
- Google Analytics — website usage measurement. Google Privacy Policy
- Google Fonts & Maps — font delivery and map display. Usage is minimal and does not require login.
- Advertising networks — only if marketing cookies are enabled.
We do not control the cookies placed by these services. Please refer to each provider's privacy documentation for full details.
Cookie Duration
Cookies fall into two duration categories:
| Type | Duration | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Session cookies | Until you close your browser | Used for login sessions and navigation state |
| Analytics cookies | Up to 2 years | Store anonymous visit data |
| Marketing cookies | Up to 90 days | Track ad interactions |
| Preference cookies | Up to 1 year | Remember your site settings |
| Consent record | Up to 1 year | Stores your cookie choice so we don't ask every visit |
